Woodland Park Zoo

Tuesday afternoon we took a trip to the zoo!!

My Mum flew into the Seattle airport, so we took advantage of the "winter" rates at the zoo! We were able to see many different animals. We all had a lot of fun :) Here are a few pictures of some of the animals we got to see.

Zebra and antelope

Giraffe or "big tall" as Joshua calls them :)

Baby zebra

A couple hippos sun bathing

Monkey

Elephant

Bats

Kangaroos

Joshua is petting the steel foxes...and admiring the tunnel. He has loved tunnels ever since he got his Thomas the tank engine tunnel for Christmas!

Grizzly bears... sorry, he didn't want to look at the camera ;D

You could watch the bears lunch swimming around under water in this building. FISH!

A HUGE eagle

and his HUGE nest! I think 3 adults could easily sit in the nest without being squished!

Joshua and I watching the eagle (hey, same eyes)

Nathan and Joshua at the end of a 'tunnel'!!!!

Our big boy ;D

Tiger...he didn't want to look either. I think the tigers were trying to avoid everyone.

T-Rex. Yes, they even had dinosaurs :)

Little penguins

When this worker came out to feed the penguins she started calling them all by names and they even knew their names! She would give them each a fish and then they knew they were finished... it was so funny to watch. After they got their fish they walked away. She has them trained well!!

A Joshua with a very wet diaper...poor boy, we were all having so much fun that his diaper got forgotten about. Oops, I am a good mum really :) He was walking around with his legs far apart and saying "uh oh!" Sorry Joshua!

and Flamingos!

Matthew just snoozed the most of the time.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter...

We have been keeping busy with Grandma Marks here... so I have a lot to blog about!!

outfits, family pictures... see :) I will do my best to get caught up next week. It's supposed to

rain a lot (imagine that :D), so I should have time.

Rubber Duck bath...

I saw this rubber duck bath tub a little while ago and thought that it would be great for storage. The big white plastic infant tubs are so hard to store, anywhere.

So we picked this up for Matthew...well, Joshua has seems to claim it ;D It even surprised me when I took it out of the box, it quacks!!!! I didn't know it when I bought it. Joshua is loving it! He is such a good big brother, he had absolutely no problem 'sharing' it with Matthew (even though its Matthew's) when it was bath time. Joshua thought it was great to see Matthew have a bath in the rubber duck...Joshua LOVES ducks! You should see how many he has in the tub with him each time its his turn.

"CHEESE!"

All clean... Matthew is so funny in the bath. When you first put him in he seems a bit uneasy, then within seconds he totally relaxes and just loves it!

P.S. My Mum is flying out here tomorrow!!! Please pray for her though...she is very nervous about flying by herself. Oh, she is blonde so she REALLY needs the prayer, she does need to make it to Seattle, not Cancun ;D hahahaha! Love ya!

Moo Moo going home outfit!

I forgot to show you Matthew's going home outfit his proud big brother, Joshua, picked out...

remember a while back I mentioned that Joshua saw a sleeper in the store and pointed at it and said "baby" then patted my baby belly!

Well, Matthew finally got to wear it! Joshua was so excited when he saw him in it!

Joshua is such a proud BIG BROTHER; he loves his little "Maha!"

Matthew's 1st Church Service

Matthew is the 'newest' Anchor!!

Pastor and his little guys!

Pastor usually goes to the hospital to pray while ladies are in labour (as long as he can anyways). He was there when I was in labour with Joshua and it was such an encouragement for both of us; Nathan and I. With Matthew Pastor was flying to California the day I went into the hospital, so he was really disappointed...he likes to hold the 'newest' Anchors first.

He didn't get to hold Matthew until after church Sunday morning. He was so excited! Since his family got to see and hold Matthew first, he informed them that that was the first and last time this would happen :)

It is such a blessing to have a Pastor and family who cares so much.

Officially an Anchor!!

*he has been anchored...pin!*

Cutie ;D

We are so blessed by our Heavenly Father!

Matthew was born quickly, healthy, and early ;)

Joshua is absolutely LOVING his little brother!

As soon as we got home from the hospital Joshua was trying to share all of his toys with Matthew! Joshua ran to his room and brought out his Thomas the Tank engine toy and wanted to give "baby Maha" a ride! :)

Soon to be a big brother!!!! & Blessing!!!!

It is so hard to believe that our baby (well, big baby) is going to be a 'big brother' soon!

It seems just like yesterday that we were blessed to hold Joshua in our arms for

the first time. Time goes be so fast!

Joshua is very excited about the baby coming!

Every time we ask him where the baby is he ever so gently pats my baby belly ;)

When we ask him what he is going to do to the baby he pretends to give

him a kiss and a hug! It is so cute, we can't wait to see his first reaction when he meets

his baby brother for the first time...praying that it will be soon!

Only 4 more days until my due date!

While I was tidying some things up this morning, I heard "uh oh, car!"

Not sure of what just took place, I went searching for Joshua and this is what I found.

He said uh oh, becuase he needed to work on his tractor!

He is such a boy!

What exactly he is fixing under there with a saw...I don't know, but he was sure

doing a great job! He said "like Daddy!"

When we were expecting Joshua, a couple in our church offered for us to use their cradle. It was so nice, and it fit right next to our bed, and Joshua loved it!

With this baby, we were a bit concered about where he is going to sleep.

The couple we borrowed the cradle from just had a baby in January, so I didn't want to ask to use it again, just in case she was still using it for her son (I didn't want to rush him out of it).

After talking to someone, I found out that she wasn't using the cradle anymore for her son.

So, I waited a week longer then asked her if her son was still using it, and if not if I could borrow it again. Right away her face lit up and she said, "YES, you can HAVE it!!" She was so excited to be able to get it out of her house!

I now have a cradle for the baby, and I didn't have to buy it, and its the same one I used for Joshua, so I thought that was special :)...

it's a Mommy thing!

Joshua has been enjoying it again this morning.

He stuffed it full of his animals and then jumped in :)

Oh, it isn't all together yet. It actually has a stand and when it is up it rocks.

Lately, Joshua has had a new favorite colour...

Orange!

Nathan has a polo shirt that is orange and then another one that is orange and blue stripes.

When he came out of the room after changing into them, both times Joshua said "OOoooooo! Daddy!" It was so cute!

I had a coupon for Childrens Place and I knew they had their boy polo shirts on sale, so I went looking...

I found this orange and blue stripped polo for Joshua (and for the baby).

It almost matches perfectly!

When I brought it home and showed Joshua his new shirt, guess what he said...

"OOOoooo, like Daddy!" then he gave it a hug! :) I also found him an orange baseball cap with a basketball, and he recently picked out an orange football from Dollarama, which he takes EVERYHERE! The first Sunday (and everyone after) he took it to church to show the "big guys" as he calls the teen guys :) He had a blast playing with it with the 'big guys'!!

When you are little and tired, you can sleep just about anywhere!

I found Joshua almost asleep in here :) I think the flash woke him back up.
