The Love of my life!!

Nathan and I had the privilege of attending this years couples retreat hosted by Metro Baptist Church. It was such a wonderful time to get away...even though we still had Joshua with us. It was a blessing to get to know some of the couples from our church better and also couples from other churches.
Each couple gets to have their pictures taken as a souvenir! In our hotel room we had a KING size bed...who used those anyways??? :) The first thing we both thought was, that is twice the size of our own bed! Its not really, but it sure looked like it!

I love these pictures!! :D

I love you, Nathan Alan!

Here is Joshua demonstrating how big the bed is:) hahaha!!!

the Beginnigs of Joshua's 1st Christmas...the tree!!

On Saturday, we went to look for the 'perfect' Christmas tree! We went to O' Christmas Tree Farm with Christopher, Melissa, Isaac, Caleb, and Anna Boo.
Merry Christmas!!

Daddy and Joshua looking for our Christmas tree!

Daddy's and babies :)

Isaac and Caleb running in all of the HUGE puddles!
*Melissa and I were laughing because you could tell that it was our first year to get a Christmas tree here...we were the only families that were NOT wearing rubber boots!!! :)

It was getting a bit cold

Our TREE! It's perfect!! :)
(Joshua was happy to get this tree...really!
Cold, rainy, and babies don't mix very well.)

Joshua, after picking out our Christmas tree...
he was glad to be back in the warm explorer!

Joshua had so much fun playing with the lights!
He was laughing and talking to them (and trying to eat them)!!

Our cutie experiencing his 1st Christmas!!!

Lights!! I couldn't catch him smiling;
he kept on turning his head when he giggled! It was so cute:)

Joshua's favorite...his soother;D

Christmas socks!

Joshua got to eat supper at the table with us last night!! He loved it! We can't believe how big he is getting.

Challenge...

"Beloved, think in not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on thier part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorifed." ~I Peter 4:12-14

Christmas has arrived in our home!

The day after U.S. Thanksgiving, it is finally here...you know what that means! It is time for Christmas!!!! I have finished putting up all of our decorations, we just have to get our tree tomorrow!! I can't wait!
Christmas to us, means goodies, family time, games (bring on the monopoly), Christmas movies like 'The Muppet's Christmas Carol', looking at Christmas lights in parks, spotting other families Christmas trees while driving, singing Christmas carols, listening to Christmas music, gift shopping; which is going to be a blast this year (buying for our own little baby boy), tons of baking (mmmmm...I love Christmas baking), Christmas Cantata's, and everything else that you do at Christmas time!! We are just praying for a White Christmas!!!!!!
Christmas is our favorite time of the year!! We are going to get our tree tomorrow, so I will put up some pictures asap!!!!

Decorating for Christmas!!

I started decorating for Christmas today!!! Joshua was having a blast! He wanted to see every single thing that I took out of the bins:) Especially the decorations that played music or light up! The look on his face was priceless! We are already having soooo much fun with Joshua's 1st Christmas!
I can't wait until Saturday when we get our Christmas tree with Christopher, Melissa and the kidies.
Last night we were talking about getting our tree (i.e. about calling to see how much they are, how big we should get, etc.), and Nathan spoke up to ask..."How are we going to cut the tree down?" I said "with a SAW!!!!" Nathan almost seemed worried that he doesn't have a chain saw to cut it down with. Now, if you don't know Nathan(which if you are reading this blog I am sure you do), he LOVES power tools (as do all of the Ravert guys). I said that we would be fine, and that they will probably have a good old fashioned saw at the tree farm that we could borrow. He was ok with the idea, but he assured me that it won't be like what they used to do...his Dad always brought his chain saw to cut down their tree.
What can I say, I'm married to a Ravert, and I absolutely LOVE it :) :) :) :)
Merry Christmas, Love you all!!
