Canada takes GOOOOOOOLLLLDDDD!!!!

Canada takes the GOLD medal in men's hockey!!

It was a battle for gold in our house today!
Nathan was cheering for USA and Joshua and I were cheering for CANADA!!!
Although, everytime Nathan or I would cheer, Joshua would look at us confused :)
... one day, soon enough he will realize what was going on,
and be there right beside us cheering away saying...

"!GO Canada GO!"

*Don't worry all you Raverts (and Casie)... Joshua (and I) cheer for USA if Canada is not competing :D

!!GO Canada GO!!

!!Go Team Canada!!

The first Olympic hockey game I have been able to watch is tonight's semi-final game; Canada versus Slovakia.

!!Go Team Canada!!

My little trouble maker...

"So the FUN begins!"
As everyone has been telling me :)

Joshua has been scooting his way all around the house. His new favorite toy to get to (right away) is Daddy's laptop. He will give everything he has to get to it! This morning our little monkey scooted/walked all the way around the coffee table like he has been doing it all along; to get to Daddy's laptop. THEN, he found my coffee cup...you can probably imagine what happened next!!! Yes, my coffee was all over! Thankfully he didn't get himself with it.

Part of the Olympics!!!

Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics
*Go Canada Go*

Last night we went down town Vancouver to be part of the 2010 Winter Olympics!! We all put on our Red and White ready to cheer for our Country, Canada! We all took the sky train to get down there. The sky train was full of people wearing Red and White GO CANADA GO!! When we got there, there were people everywhere! I was looking forward to seeing people from all over the world, but we actually only saw some people from Russia. Russia is hosting the 2014 winter Olympics. We were able to see the Olympic cauldron and the Olympic rings (which were GOLD; Canada's ladies hockey team just won GOLD) on the water. The rings are usually colours, but whenever Canada wins a gold medal they turn gold! It was a really neat experience to go and be part of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics!!

The GOLD Olympic rings!

The Olympic Cauldron!
When it is dark, the cauldron lights up blue.

Joshua, cheering for Canada!

More pictures to come!!

Scooting around!

Joshua is growing up so fast! Last night, Nathan and I were playing with Joshua in his bedroom. Joshua LOVES to walk! Usually we have to hold his hands while he walks, but this time I turned a laundry basket upside down and let him lean on that. We watched him scoot all around his bedroom pushing the basket. He was LOVING it! He thought he was so big, he kept looking back at us and smiling. He has been such a joy in our lives!

(this wasnt lastnight, but its what he loves doing...so you can see him!)

We saw the Olympic Torch!

The Olympic torch came right by our street on Tuesday!! It was so cool! We had a front row seat at the end of our street. Earlier on in the day the community center had different events going on for the kids. They each were given a place mat, a growth chart, stickers. They all made their own torches, and they all got flags as well. It was all a lot of fun, even for me :)

Joshua and I waiting to see the Olympic torch.

Joshua was having a lot of fun :)

This horse passed by us while we were waiting.
The kids all loved it.

Our little Canadian :)
