Journey

God has placed us each on this earth for His purpose.
He has given us each our own journey...
His own plan for our lives.
Trust His leading,
He will lead you through the unknown!
"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil."
Proverbs 3:5-7

Lately...

Hello!
Sorry, I haven't posted anything in a while.
It has been a busy couple of weeks.
Emma-Joy was born and then Grandma Ravert came out for 2 weeks.
Here are some pictures to see what we have been up to lately!

Joshua had his 1st kinder surprise!

At first he was a bit cautious...

then, he dove right it!

He was quite pleased with his "surprise!"

Nathan was working out on our porch a while ago,
and Joshua always likes to do what Daddy is doing.
He found his own hammer and wood and did "like Daddy!"
It was so cute! He knew what he was doing too!

Lately, Joshua has really been liking to colour!
Wal-mart had crayola crayons on for $ .25!
Lets just say between all of the kids here,
we went out of wal-mart with 35 boxes of crayons :)

While Grandma Ravert was staying at our house,
she slept on our air mattress (that doesn't hold air very well).
Every morning she left it up for Joshua to play on when he woke up!
He had a blast!!
Joshua is such a boy...
Every time we go over to Jun and Sandra's house, Joshua goes right for the blue car!
saying, "bbbrrroooommm!!!"
but...
when Anna is there too,
they have to fight for it...
in this case,
they shared ;D
having some fun!

Shirley - "Auntie Rachel, take my pictures...cheese!"

Our little man!!!

The last night we were all together with Grandma Ravert,
we took all the grand kids to a park to get some pictures for Grandma.

Jun took most of the pictures with his honking camera ;D
and I snapped a couple!
He got some really nice pictures...
which isn't very easy with that many kids who were all anxious to run to the
playground just 50 feet away!!
The newest of them,
Emma-Joy!
She's so cute :D
Right after Joshua tried to smell those roses,
Anna tried to pick him up....
what she doesn't realize is that Joshua weights the same as her if not more :D
Orange, yellow, and pink!

three girlies!

Joshua saw this, well whatever it is called, and reached up for it.
So Auntie Melissa helped!

You can't see any Nathan right??? ;D
Joshua is becoming a park king!
He figured out how to get up the stairs at this particular park...
there is a slide at each side of the top!!!
He LOVES slides now!
Yesterday, we went to Melissa's house until Grandma left for the airport.
It was a fun day...
we spent most of it outside!

Who said that the park is for kids???? :D

Smile!

These guys just love each other sooooo much!
Don't worry....it's on the cheek! ;D

He was playing peek-a-boo!

Another favorite of Joshua...
Isaac and Caleb have a F150 power wheel!
Joshua loves it!!!
Apparently working on cars just runs in the family!
It was hilarious!
I was out with all the kids, and all of the sudden they just decided that
the truck needed some repairs.
So while Joshua sat and gave the orders,
all the other boys fixed his truck!
Joshua and Mommy!
I love you!

A challenge...

"Don't ever allow your dreams to take precedence over the careful rearing of your children. What could be more important than training them to live by Biblical principles?
It will mean pouring yourself into them to produce people honouring to God.
That puts incredible responsibility upon us as parents.
It means that we must take personal inventory of ourselves.
What kind of person are you?
That's the kind of person your child probable will become!
We need God's help and wisdom with such an awesome task."
~"Dorie"
by: Doris Van Stone
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6
What an awesome task we have as parents. The Lord has blessed us with children...though they are His, He has entrusted them to us.
How would the Lord have raised children?...
how am I?
Pray for your children, love your children, cuddle with your children, read God's Word with your children, and be a Godly example to your children.
Thank you, Lord, for kids!!

Silly boy

One night after dinner. Nathan was holding Joshua with him at the table.
Joshua loves it when we hug and kiss. At this particular time, he joined in the hugging with us!!
It was so cute...
Then........
Joshua pushing Nathan and I together to kiss! It was hilarious!
He probably did it 5 or 6 times ;D silly little guy!
He has been getting so loving lately!
We love it :D

a lolli-pop!

Joshua's 1st lolli-pop!

Getting comfy to eat your lolli-pop is step #1

mmmmm! As Joshua says!! ;D

Cheese!

Big smiles for his lolli-pop!

See how big he is getting!!

A few random pictures!

Joshua loves to play with water guns!!!!
He even says, "p,p,p,p!"
(that is that sound of water spraying :D)
Lately, Joshua has become quite interested in the phone.
He likes to "call Grandma"...

He has all of the "talking on the phone" techniques down.
- up to the ear,
- talking (well, his talking ;D)
- and he even walks around while he talks on the phone!

Joshua is such a Daddy's boy! He gets sooooo excited when 'Dad, daddy' gets home from work. Everything Nathan does, Joshua does...
included building me a bookshelf!

He has all the tools and what they do down pat! ;D

He's a boy!!!!

Canada Day fun!!

CANADA DAY 2010
*Sorry, I know, its over a week late.*
For Canada day this year, we drove up to Squamish, B.C.
We were hoping to find some nice trails...
everyone lead to somewhere, but not where we were thinking would be a nice walk...
oh well :)

This is what it looks like to travel in luxury...
comfortably watching a movie ;D
We stopped for lunch on a back road that turned into a walking path.
The path was soooooo bumpy...
lets just say, Joshua wasn't too impressed with the stroller ride.
So we let him walk for a while. As soon as he got out, he went over to the flowers! He loves flowers...he likes to smell them (there are a bunch of flowers along the side of our landlords driveway...he knows that he is not allowed to touch them so he stops and smells them ;D).
My first flower from Joshua!!!
Aawww!

A secret path...where does it lead????
We never found out...haha!

Joshua and Daddy!

again...

That path 2 pictures back lead us down to this...
it was a neat little rocky beach area!

We all had squinty eyes... sorry.

The next path we stopped at lead us to the 'trail head' of the "Chief."
It was really neat. Although, we couldn't go anywhere...
this was the beginning of the hike up "Chief."
So Joshua and I just took pictures of Nathan. :)
Nathan and I really want to go back and hike the "Chief!"
It looked really fun!
Especially since the sign at the beginning said
"Caution, very exhausting!!!"
Requirements to hike the "Chief":
1. Physically in shape
2. Bring lots of water
3. Bring food
4. Give yourself enough time to finish before dark; the path disappears quickly in the dark...
5. Be prepared physically
6. Have a partner to help spot each other at all times
Doesn't that sound fun to you!!! It did to us :)
Joshua and Mommy!

The last place we stopped at was Shannon Falls

The last time we were here was Boxing day.
It was really cold then!
A little more enjoyable this time ;D
Us!

Happy Canada (late) Day!
