favorites

Joshua loves to watch his baby Einstein movies.
Usually, while he is watching his movies he likes to have a snack...
(sound like anyone you know Melissa?)
His new favorite snacks are cheerios and whole wheat crackers.
Today I spoiled him and gave him cheerios, crackers and his cookies!
He was very excited:)

I love how he sits with his feet crossed all the time :)

After his movies, he always tells me about them.
Well, he tries to anyways.

Baby blue eyes

I wanted to get a recent picture of Joshua to put on his birthday invitations,
and this is what he gave me :)

He made it pretty easy for me; I think :)

This is the adorable smile that we get to see all the time :)
(no teeth...soon, hopefully)

Easter Basket

Joshua's 1st Easter basket!
Sunday mornings Joshua has to wake up early,
so, he isn't quite awake here yet (he's like his Daddy).
This one is better :)
Because Joshua can't have chocolate yet,
we got him Hot Wheels, a carrot baseball bat and ball,
a basketball, soccer ball, baseball, and football, and a ball glove.

Yes, he found the tag :)
Joshua loved his Easter basket!
Especially all the cars, and balls!
Nathan was playing cars with Joshua and his new hot wheels later that night. It was so cute! Right away Joshua caught onto the sound that cars make :) although his car noise was a growl! It was just so cute to see him join right in with Nathan!

he's how tall????

Lately, I have been curious to see how tall Joshua is getting to be. So, this afternoon I pulled out Nathans measuring tape and stood Joshua up...our little baby boy isn't so little anymore! He is 29'' tall already!! I didn't think that I read it right, or that maybe the measuring tape was bending a little. Nope, Joshua is really 29'' tall! It's no wonder that he is going through is clothes so fast.
Joshua just turned 10 months old on Monday, and he is wearing size 12-18 month clothing (I'm squeezing him in some of his 12 months). He is wearing size 4 shoes. He is the cutes little boy ever :)
He LOVES to play outside. He loves to play with balls, cars, and Fisher Price Little People (Joshua has 3 sets now! A family in our church gave him a huge farm set; their girls never played with it). He loves to give hugs. He loves his chocolate cheerios (from Grandma and Grandpa Ravert). He loves his Curious George (from Grandma and Grandpa Marks).

Only 41 more sleeps until our trip to Buffalo/Ontario!!!!! See you all soon!

the fan...

Everyone knows that Joshua likes to sleep with a blanket over his head...

well, now he likes to sleep with... yes, the fan :)

A full Sunday...

Joshua is 10 months old now, I can't believe it!
Sorry, I know that it has been a while since I have posted anything. Its been rather busy around here lately. Friday and Saturday were both used up preparing for our big day on Sunday. It was our churches first day to have 3 services! Yes, I said 3 services! Our church is still meeting in a community centre, and the Lord has been blessing greatly! We are running out of room on Sunday mornings (this is obviously a good problem to have). Because of the price of property out here our church is still in the saving the building fund mode. We would love to have our own building and property, but the Lord has not opened that door as of yet, but He did open the door for us to be able to have an early service at 8:45am. Praise the Lord our first Sunday went pretty smoothly! This service will allow us to grow more as the Lord sends people our way! Did we attend it, Yes! Our, well my day started at 5:30am on Sunday! Oh I love mornings :) actually I really don't mind getting up early...as soon as the alarm goes off, I am able to get up, how, well I believe it the Lord's strength :)!!! So I didn't have to get up at 3:00am I started getting things ready on Friday and Saturday. We left our house at 7:20am to get to the church early so Nathan could help set everything up for the day. Thanks to Pastor Turner, all the early birds were blessed with a nice hot cup of Starbucks coffee...hhhmmmmmm! :) and Joshua got to go to church in his jammies:) everyone loved that! I can't really do anything for the set-up, so I figured it would be the best time to feed and change Joshua! That way he didn't have to get up to early.
I thank the Lord for the strength He gave to us on Sunday. It was a full day! We had an 8:45 service, then Sunday School at 10:00 and then our regular 11:00 service. At 1:30 we went to the nursing home we go to, and then we were invited to join the seniors of our church at ABC restaurant for a delightful, relaxing lunch! I had a sirloin, strawberry salad! YYYYUUUMMMYYY! At this point Joshua was ready for his 2nd nap of the day! So instead of going home and moving him back and forth from the van to his bed so many times we just let him sleep in the van while Nathan went into the office to do some work for choir. Then at my request, we went to Timmies :) and then we made our way back to church for choir practice! Choir practice is always a highlight of my Sunday's. It is a joy to see how our choir has improved over the last little while. They are so happy to be able to sing for the Lord! Praise the Lord for a choir that is singing for the Lord and not to show off! Then we had our evening service, followed by sign language class, and then HOME!!!!!!!! We were beginning to forget what it looked like :) hahahaha:)
Over all, I really want to praise the Lord for the day! I say all this not to lift us up, but to glorify our Lord. There is nothing like giving your entire day to the Lord! Not having to worry about cleaning the house, going to work, baking (all though I love to bake), and just all the regular everyday things we do.
He does give the strength that we need!! Please Pray for continued guidance for our Pastor and our church.

Easter Sunday with Pastor...

On Easter Sunday, everyone brings out the spring clothes...even the guys!
Pastor just loved the fact that he matched these boys!
The suit that Joshua is wearing was the suit that Caleb wore at our wedding (Caleb was around 14 or 15 months old; Joshua is 9 months!)!!!!

Easter Weekend...

This weekend has been a fun FILLED weekend! Well...the whole week has been filled. Our church hosted a Youth Conference this past Friday and Saturday. Nathan was in charge of the games and the skits for the conference. For the last few weeks we have been figuring out what would be the best skits (one's that no one has seen!), and what games would be the best. I always loved the game times at camp so I suggested some of my favorites...and that is what we played! Tube tug, big-ball basketball, three ring game! (I wanted to join in with the teens soooo bad!) Anywho, this past week Nathan, Joshua, and I were out every night picking things up for all the skits and games.
Praise the Lord for a wonderful conference! Two teens accepted Christ as their Saviour!, and many other decisions were made as well. I didn't hear all of the messages, but the bits and pieces I did hear were challenging to me! Bro. Pauley, from Crown College in Tennessee, came and preached for the conference.
Joshua trying out a new look!
These glasses were part of a skit at the youth conference.

Hmmmmm...

Easter Sunday...the cutes little family :)
The Turner's always get their family pictures taken at church on Easter and Christmas, so we joined on the fun!

I am going to try and get more pictures from Easter and the conference up soon...there are some Ravert gentlemen you wont want to miss!!!
