Christmas Time Blessings! pt 1

Blessing #1: We had a wonderful time with both sets of Grandparents (parents) while they were here! These next couple of posts will be different things that we did with them :)
Blessing #2: Yes, you are seeing right! We had SNOW! for a week!! It was so fun :)
You are a true Vancouverite when you ride your bike in the snow :)

Joshua's snowman!
{sorry, all these pictures uploaded in the wrong order}
He was SOOOO proud of his snowman! The next day, I took him out to play in the snow again and he was standing looking at the snowman, when all of the sudden he said, "Snowman's looking at the window (he was facing our house), so I said, well maybe he's looking at baby Jesus (We had Christmas stickers in the window), you should tell what Christmas is....so Joshua looked at the snowman and told him, "Christmastree (what he calls Christmas) is Baby Jesus' birthday, snowman!"

Grandpa Marks and Matthew watching through the front window :)
It was soooo cold out that it was hard to get the snow to stick together! Nathan had to make the head twice.

Joshua was saying, "his nose is too big!" so Nathan snapped it in half :)

This was the beginning of making the snowman. I'm not sure why they all uploaded like this, and I don't have the time to go through and rearrange them...sorry!
This was our first snowfall! We were surprised to wake up to this beautiful snow on a Saturday morning!!!! Little did we know that there was more to come!
Matthew wanted to go out so badly! I would have taken him, but he was already fighting a nasty fever and cold :(

Beautiful!
I love the way fresh fallen snow looks on trees!
cheese!

He's throwing a snowball at me.
He was having a ton of fun throwing snowballs at me!
Our Christmas tree. Joshua was rather sad that it had to go...so was I :( :)
Blessing #3: Our 2 handsome boys
The cutest doggy ever!

It was hilarious when he would crawl :) he looked like a doggy walking around! He was adorable!
Joshua bought a bunch of craft items with his Christmas money from Great Grandma Carter.
Matthew's first remote control car. It was the cutest thing! It came with that yellow remote that is in the next picture. You shake the rattle and the car goes! We ended having to return it because it wasn't working properly. It played some music that we didn't really want in our house, but we just turned it off....we ended up just leaving it and we will get him something else soon!

Blessing #4: My first poinsettia! I love these flowers! They are a such a good reminder of how beautiful the Christmas story is; how much LOVE came on that special night!
We had everyone (all the family that lives here in BC) for the last night before Nathan's parents went home....so needless to say there wasn't space at the table for everyone. All the kids except for Matthew got to sit at the table. I was busy running around doing this and that while everyone was over that I forgot to clean Matthew's highchair after he ate his snack...it was a nice snack for later though :)

Blessing #5: Matthew started crawling on New Years eve! Yes, this sounds like a funny blessing, but he was getting so frustrated that he couldn't follow us all around. He is sooooooo happy now! A happy baby means a happy family :)
Blessing #6: Fun times
Nathan got a new office chair for Christmas from my parents and Joshua put the box to very good use. We let him play with it for a couple of days after Christmas, but it was such a huge box that we NEEDED to throw it out!

Froggy slippers ;)

Blessing #7: Game time with cousins! Joshua got UNO MOO from G&G Ravert for Christmas...which he LOVES by the way!
I think that he loved it the most becuase he was able to play it with Grandpa and his cousins!!!!
Blessing #8: Grandpa time...Grandpa had to use his reverse sycology on Joshua just to get kisses :) it worked!! He didn't grasp the whole getting money from Grandpa for kisses, he would say, "No, I don't need money".... until he saw all his cousins getting paid for kisses :) then he thought it was a good idea!
beating up Grandpa!
Grandpa - "You better not jump on me!" (reverse sycology!)
This post took me a few days to finish...I'll try and get more done soon...no promises of when though ;) Thanks for stopping by, check back soon!

"You're a block head!"

You know the saying that you always hear Lucy calling Charlie Brown....
well, Nathan and Joshua were just that! 'You're a Block Head!" ;)
It was hilarious!
We tried to get Matthew into it, but he wasn't to impressed by having the 'block' on his head ;) He liked just watching his crazy Dad and big brother instead!
Ta-da!
(he was using the ceiling to help balance the blocks since he had to bend down a bit to get the last one to fit)

More of our fun from our Christmas and holidays to come....I just had a few minutes to sit down and make this one :) check back soon!!
