Blessings through music!

Please take the time to read through these songs...when you have the time. Don't just look and see that there are no pictures and then stop looking. I have had these songs in my head all day and thought that they may be a blessing to someone else. I am so thankful for the many people who have taken time to share through music how the Lord has worked in their lives!

"Did You Thing to Pray?"

Ere you left your room this morning, Did you think to pray? In the name of Christ our Savior, Did you sue for loving favor, As a shield today?

Oh, how praying rests the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; So in sorrow and in gladness, Don't forget to pray.

When you met with great temptation, Did you think to pray? By His dying love and merit, Did you claim the Holy Spirit As your guide and stay?

Oh, how praying rests the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; So in sorrow and in gladness, Don't forget to pray.

When your heart was filled with anger, Did you think to pray? Did you plead for grace, my brother, That you might forgive another Who had crossed your way?

Oh, how praying rests the weary! Prayer with change the night to day; So in sorrow and in gladness, Don't forget to pray.

When sore trials came upon you, Did you think to pray? When your soul was bowed in sorrow, Balm of Gilead did you borrow, At the gates of day?

Oh, how praying rests the weary! Prayer will change the night to day; So in sorrow and in gladness, Don't forget to pray.

"Pray about Everything"

Once I was burdened with many a care; Problems too hard for my weak soul to bear; Then God's Word came a message to clear;

Pray about everything - Prayer is a wonderful treasure; Prayer is a wonderful thing. Blessing all ours without measure; So pray about everything.

Ask of your Father, He loveth to please; Unlock His treasure, He gives us the key; Claiming this promise, I dropped to my knees:

Pray about everything - Prayer is a wonderful treasure; Prayer is a wonderful thing. Blessings all ours without measure; So pray about everything.

Doubting and fretting can only bring shame; Worry and fear will dishonor His name; Go to your Savior His promise to claim:

Pray about everything - Prayer is a wonderful treasure; Prayer is a wonderful thing. Blessings all ours without measure; So pray about everything.

Riches in Jesus, abundant and free, Need in our work or whatever it be; Ours for the asking! This only His plea'

Pray about everything - Prayer is a wonderful treasure; Prayer is a wonderful thing. Blessings all ours without measure; So pray about everything.

"Is Your All on the Altar?"

You have longed for sweet peace, and for faith to increase, And have earnestly , fervently prayed; But you cannot have rest or be perfectly blest Until all on the altar is laid.

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid? You heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest, As you yield Him your body and soul.

Would you walk with the Lord, in the light of His Word, And have peace and contentment alway, You must do his sweet will, to be free from all ill, On the altar you all you must lay.

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest, As you yield Him your body and soul.

Oh, we never can know what the Lord will bestow Of the blessings for which we have prayed, Till our body and soul He doth fully control, And our all on the altar is laid.

Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest, As you yield Him your body and soul.

Who can tell all the love He will send from above , And how happy our hearts will be made, Of the fellowship sweet we shall share at His feet, When our all on the altar is laid.

Is you all on the altar of sacrifice laid? Your heart, does the Spirit control? You can only be blessed and have peace and sweet rest, As you yield Him your body and soul.

"God Will Take Care of You"

Be not dismayed whate'er betide, God will take care of you; Beneath His wings of love abide, God will take care of you.

God will take care of you, Thro' every day, O'er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.

Thro' days of toil when heart doth fail, God will take care of you; When dangers fierce your path assail, God will take care of you.

God will take care of you, Thro' every day, O'er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.

All you may need He will provide, God will take care of you; Nothing you ask will be denied, God will take care of you.

God will take care of you, Thro' every day, O'er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.

No matter what may be the test, God will take care of you; Lean, weary one, upon His breast, God will take care of you.

God will take care of you, Thro' every day, O'er all the way; He will take care of you, God will take care of you.

Matthew is 2 months old!

Matthew Alexander

2 months old!

Time goes by so fast. I am very thankful for cameras- if it weren't for cameras I wouldn't be able to sit down and look at pictures of our 2 blessings from our Great God! Time is so precious, why waste it on making sure that everything is PERFECTLY clean when your children are growing up right before your eyes. I am so thankful for a family that gets along very well, and who all loves to do the things of God! Nathan and I have been blessed with 2 little boys who love to be at church...specifically in the nursery :) our boys are in the nursery on Sundays from 8:30am till 12:30pm! They own that room :) anyways, enough babbling, here are some pictures of Matthew ;D

Matthew is such a happy baby! He LOVES to talk too! He will smile and talk your ear off if you want him too :) all you have to do is smile at him and say hi! ;D

Joshua is 2!!

Joshua's 2nd Birthday!!

We gave Joshua a Thomas the Tank Engine party!

Grandma Ravert found this "Happy Birthday" banner for .50 cents!!

We had the Joshua's party at a really nice park by our house and we invited a few of Joshua's friends from church and their families!

Birthday boy!

Uncle Christopher found Joshua a Thomas the Tank t-shirt and runners (that light up) at a yard sale, so I saved them for his Thomas the tank party! He was so surprised!! I also found him a Thomas the Tank birthday ribbon to wear, which now he proudly has hanging in his room! ;D

I made Joshua a Thomas the Tank cake...

I started it Saturday night while he was sleeping and finished it Sunday afternoon (also while he was sleeping)! As soon as he woke up he spotted it on the counter and wanted to eat it right then! He kept saying, "THOMAS CAKE! MMMM! NUMMY! EAT!!!! PEASE!" I'd say he was a bit excited ;D

Joshua and Katelyn waiting anxiously for Nathan to light the candle!

The wind was blowing out the candle, so Nathan tried to block the wind while Joshua blew!

and...here he is...Thomas the Tank Engine!

I was finally able to use all my new fondant tools I got for Christmas! I am definitely going to use fondant icing again! It is so fun...after I got used to it anyways :) I don't thing I should have tried such a hard cake for my first time using fondant?!?!?! but, Joshua LOVED his birthday cake, so I am very happy! Yes, I know his face is supposed to be grey, but it was my first time using the food coloring that I did...it colors very well! haha!

Joshua was pointing at the monkey on the bag and doing his monkey noise! It was so cute!

Emma anxiously waiting for Joshua to open the next gift ;)

This toy story ball is what was in the gift bag in the above picture... as soon as he saw the ball, he jumped down saying, "BALL!! OOOOO! BALL!! HA!HA!HA!" If you know Joshua, you know that all you need to give him is a ball and he is SOOOOOO happy! :) Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Turner!

Nathan was finally able to get him back up to his lap to read the card ;)

A bubble mower!!!! "WOOHOO!!" - Joshua

Nathan has recently started cutting our grass for our landlord, and Joshua loves to help Nathan with everything that he can. In this case, he didn't have a mower, so he grabbed his golf club case and started mowing the grass with that :) When we saw him doing this we both were thinking that we should get him a bubble mower for his birthday. Well, we did! but so did the Turner's! HAHA, for real!

Thankfully, Brianna happened to ask me Sunday morning before the party if Joshua had one. I started laughing because I knew that she was going to say they bought him one. I said, well, we bought one for his birthday! She said, "Oh man, so did we!!" It was to funny! I just told them to go a head and give it to him, and we would take ours back and get him something else :)

Bath time fishing pole and fish and bath crayons (which Liarra wanted to keep for herself instead of giving them to Joshua)! :)

Every piece of tissue paper was handed to Emma...

"Emma, hold pease!!" - Joshua

Joshua got some books from the Ball girls!

Sean, Stephanie and Kyle Ball

(Katelyn and Hailey were up close in the gift action)

Matthew! :D

Grandpa and Grandma Turner

(Pastor's parents, they came out for our churches 10th anniversary)

Birthday boy!

Joshua loves his bubble mower!

When he woke up Monday morning, the first thing he did was, "Oh, bubble motor!" as he calls it ;) then started mowing the entire house!

Thank you also to both Grandpa and Grandma Ravert and Grandpa and Grandma Marks!!!!

We took Joshua shopping to Wal-mart so he could spend his birthday money from his grandparents...it was so fun! He didn't really get the whole concept of a shopping spree though! Normally, when we go grocery shopping, I do the groceries and Nathan takes the two boys to the toys and Joshua just runs around and tries everything and he knows that he has to leave the toys when we are done shopping! ;D he loves doing it too! Well, this time he could actually take a couple things home, but he did't exactly grasp that. Whenever he would pick something up, we would ask him, "do you want to get that?" and he would say, "no" and then go on to something else. I guess he was just thinking we were asking him if he wanted to play with that certain toy, not knowing that we were meaning to take it home with him. We eventually picked a couple things out for him that we know he would love ;)

From G&G Ravert he got a "BIG GUN!" (nerf - automatice machine gun with 20 bullets!)

and from G&G Marks he got a "COOTER!" (scooter!)

Both of these toys he plays with ALL the time when he is at his cousins house, so we figured that they were the right things to choose ;) I will post some pictures of those soon!

still here...

Sorry, I haven't been able to post anything lately- blogger wasn't working right, so I wasn't able to log on to my account. I have taken a lot of pictures in the mean time, so I will do my best to post them :) I have Jun's monster camera again (I love using it)!!! I was able to get some really nice photos of the boys this afternoon playing outside ;) I am going to try and set up a little photo shoot again like I did with Joshua at Christmas... We'll see how things work out :P
