almost there...

I can't believe that our little babies due date is only 5 weeks away!! It is so exciting, but yet it seems so far away! My sis-in-law is due Friday...still waiting though. I am kind of jealous, I wish it was me this Friday and her in 5 weeks. Although, I am sure she isn't thinking that :)
We are almost ready for this baby to arrive...we still have to decide on his name...who knew picking out a 2nd boys name would be so hard! We have a couple of different ideas, but we aren't sure yet.
Joshua is ready to meet his little brother too! Every time he sees something little, he says "Baby!" Last night I was in the nursery and it was so weird to see Joshua in there...he is the biggest kid in there now (not the oldest, just biggest). When Hailey (his best nursery friend) came in he instantly became so excited! He stood at the gate and jumped up and down and clapped his hands with a huge smile and said "Hi Aile (Hailey)!" It was so cute. Then when Kyle (Hailey's new baby brother) came in in his car seat Joshua said "baby Kye seat!" He is starting to talk so much! It is fun to listen to him trying to say everything I do!
Well, the last few weeks of pregnancy have hit me hard with fatigue, please pray that I can rest enough for the big day!

Love

Roses
Nathan knows how much I LOVE roses...
especially when they are from him ;)
He always goes out of his way to make sure he can buy me roses for Valentines Day!
This year we didn't have the extra money to buy each other gifts. So, I made Nathan his favorite cookies (peanut butter) and he came home with roses for me!
I love him for it...its not just the fact that he is buying me roses because of the day.
I know how much love is behind each rose!!
Over the last few valentines days (since we have been married) we have been able to do
something special with just each other. This year our church had a Couples Valentines Banquet. It was a lot of fun to spend time together with a few other Christian couples.
We played a few games (We won one!) ate some chocolate and love hearts, listened to a Bible
lesson, and ate our dinner.
It was really neat to see how the Lord worked through this evening...
like I said before, we didn't really have the money for valentines day this year and we were going out to a restaurant for the couples banquet. The whole time not knowing exactly how we were going to pay...(we ordered the cheapest meals we could)...'oh us of little faith.'
When everything was done, the couple sitting across from us grabbed our bill before we could even look at it and said that they were paying for us!
It was such a blessing!
When you trust the Lord as a couple...
the Lord will bless!!
I LOVE you Nathan!!

Baker in training

Who would have known that our big 20 month old would who loves to play
cars, sports, work with Daddy and dinosaurs (100% boy)
would also like to bake?!?!
I was planning on baking a cake anyways and Nathan needed to get something done without the
constant "Da, Daddy, Da Daddy!" So I put him up on a chair and
he was a super helper!
He loved it too ;)

After he finished helping me, he made his own...

He even put all his dishes in the sink when he was finished!

Sick again...

Please pray for our Joshua. He started the week on Monday throwing up all night; that lasted a couple of days. Then last night he woke up for the first of many times at 12am with a stuffy nose and a cough. This week as turned out to be a rough week for our little man. Pray that he will be better so he can go out for church tomorrow!

Only Joshua

These are a couple of things that only a cute little guy can get away with...
#1. Wearing a tie and suspenders with whatever you want:

For whatever reason, Joshua just loves to wear his ties!
This time, he wanted to wear his suspenders too :)

#2. Making Mommy's shoe an airplane:

Joshua flew this dog around in my "red" shoe for probably 20 minutes...
like I said, "only a cute little guy!"

There are a couple things that only cute little guys can get away with... :)

Keeping up with Joshua

Here are a couple of pictures that have been waiting to be posted...
Joshua is now 20 months old! It is crazy how fast time goes.
Already in less then 2 months we will have another little boy :)
We cannot wait. Especially me...!
I guess there is a specific reason why you have to wait 9 months before you get to hold your precious gift from God.

We have no idea how he figured this out, but he seems to think that this particular hat is supposed to be worn this way?!?!
We take it off of him and turn it around, then the next thing we know is he is turning it around like this... ;)
funny boy!

After a hard days work...
all you need is a comfy seat, pillow, and your favorite blanket!

Sorry about the messy face...
Joshua is loving our new seat (couch)!
The morning after we finally brought it home from Christopher and Melissa's,
the first thing Joshua did when he woke up was look out his door (while he was still in bed)
and pointed to our new "seat!"

Joshua and one of his 5,000 stuffed animals...
well, maybe not that many, but it feels like it when I am the one who has to
clean them up everyday:)
It is so worth it though...this picture shows you why!!

I just had to put this picture up...it is so Joshua!

Yes, Joshua has been doing his homework...
as you can see, he is reading a booklet about how a Christian lady
should dress... :)

Here, Joshua is just being his normal crazy self.
He loves to play on Daddy and Mommy's bed and wear Mommy's glasses!
I think they look pretty good...haha!

Joshua is such a Daddy's boy! Everyday, as soon as Nathan gets home from work, all you hear is "Da..., Daddy..., Da...., Daddy...!"
Nathan can hardly get anything done, but he loves it at the same time:)

I have noticed lately that I don't have many pictures with my baby who is soon to be a big brother!
This one almost worked... ;)

It is almost Valentines Day!!
This year, our church is having a mini Valentines Banquet.
All of the couples are going out to a restaurant; we have a banquet room booked.
We will be playing some games, eating (of course), and Pastor is going to give a short message.
Nathan and I are really looking forward to attending.
This will be our first Valentines banquet as a couple. The first one we attended was while we were engaged, so it will be different :)
Joshua is going to be at a family's house (from our church) with a few other kids.
A couple single ladies volunteered to provide childcare!
What a huge help!
I will try and get some pictures :)
We have been getting busy getting our home ready for our coming little man :)
It seems like time is going by sooooooo sssslllloooowww!
Ever since Kyle (the newest Anchor was born in January) was born, it has made waiting that much harder...
Nathan got our room painted on Saturday, and he is painting the boys room (Joshua's room) today. I gave him some extra work for our room though. I found a stencil that I love, so he is going to put that on the wall behind our bed.
In the boys room, when he is finished painting the walls, he is going to paint all the shelves white, and build some extra shelves for all of Joshuas stuffed animals...
he only has around 20+, no joke!! He loves them all so much too :) its cute!
Then I am planning on painting the boys names on the walls above thier beds...
I guess we will need to decide on a name soon eh! We are working on that, don't worry ;)
Nathan also wants to paint all of the doors in our home white to freshen it up. They are all a dark wood, but all the trim is white, so it will look nicer if they were painted.
I am sewing Joshua a new bedset! It will match his curtains perfectly!
I am almost finished too!
When the baby is born, Joshua will be moving into his big boy bed!
We have just been keeping him in his crib becuase he sleeps so well in it, and he hasn't tried to get out yet so we havent really needed to move him.
I will try and post pictures as soon as everything is done... who wants to see the "in between" anyways...so blah!
Kind of sounds like we have a lot to do before little mr. #2 comes along, but we are determined!
Anyways, I am done. Like I said, I will post some "finished product" pictures as soon as I can!
Oh yeah, we finally got our new sofa from Christopher and Melissa's last night!! I love it. Now my living room isnt a mix and match room :)
Thanks for holding onto to it for well, basically forever Melissa!
We love it!

A quick update...

I had my second bi-weekly Dr.'s appointment this morning.
I was anxious to hear the results from my ultrasound that I had; almost 2 weeks ago now.
My Dr. said that everything is good!! Praise the Lord.
So, I said, I just have a big baby then?! She said, not really,
he's only in the 75% on the charts and my fluid was just fine, so, I just have a big belly.
My iron is very low though. Please pray for me about that.
I have to take some iron supplements for 3 months (basically until a bit after the baby is born).
She wants me to try and eat a lot of meat, and other foods that have iron in them naturally.
The Lord is so gracious, He already knew that I was going to need to spend some extra money on meat. Sandra had called me a couple of days ago to let me know that Price Smart had some meat on sale...so today after my appointment I stopped in to take a look.
They still had everything she mentioned plus more!
The Lord is so good!
Please continue to pray for our little baby boy and I, we still have about 9 weeks left...
praying for less :)
