Big boy...feeding himself!

Joshua has been wanting to feed himself lately.

So, while he was eating his oatmeal yesterday, I let him feed himself!

He actually did pretty well! He needed me to help him the first couple of times,

and that was it :)

He is getting so big:D :(

Our 3rd Anniversary get-away!!

It is so wonderful to be married!!!!

Nathan and I were able to go on our first anniversary get-away since we have been married.

The Turners booked and paid for us to stay at a really nice hotel on Sunday night, and since it was a holiday on Monday we spent some time together (just the two of us thanks to Melissa and Christopher!! Thanks guys!)

It was such a wonderful time!

Sorry, I didn't get any pictures of the hotel...it was just a hotel...who wants to see pictures of hotels anyways :D...bed, lamps, bathrooms, mirrors...you know:D

Although, we did have a balcony, with a mountain view. That was nice!

We went for a walk at Deer Lake in Burnaby, it was really pretty!

the baby geese...this family had 13 little baby geese. They were so cute, as soon as one would stand up and start to move they all would, and the same if one sat down...they all would.

We tried to get a few pictures of us at the lake...we got a couple anyways.

This one is ok, but the camera was crooked :D

While we were walking, all of the sudden we heard some rather loud ducks quacking away. When we finally found them, we saw this...there were 4 ducks and they were all going after each other...they are quite the aggressive little birds!

After watching the ducks go after each other for a while, we went out on a pedel boat! It was really fun, I have never been on one before. I will tell you though, as fun as it is, it is also a good work out too (we needed it though after our breakfast)!

It was so fun to be with just my hubby, my love, my best friend for a day and a half! I can't think of anyone else I would rather spend my time away with! Nathan is such an amazing husband and daddy! It was like our honeymoon all over again!

He is always willing to go out of his way to make things better for Joshua and I (and others).

I really appreciate all that he does for us.

{Hahaha...I copied their picture idea...}I never knew that I could ever love one person so much!Our love has grown stronger and stronger through fun times, hard times, trying times, sad times, and crazy times and still continues to grow. As a girl, playing with my sisters and friends we used to always play 'house' (as all girls do). We would always end up marrying the man of our dreams...right :D The perfect man who is always in our dreams; strong, handsome, tall, funny, lovable (teddybear), rich, a hard worker, protective, has a cool car :), and totally in love with you. Well, now that I am a 'big girl' and married. I am so proud to say that I have married the man of my dreams, the perfect match for me! The Lord knew all along that we would one day meet at college and begin to getting to know each other...and from there, here we are, celebrating our 3rd anniversary!! I love you Nathan!Ok, I am done, sorry to bore you all:) I am just in love ;D

a quick summary of our vacation!!

Our 2010 summer vacation

(part 1)

We all went to the cemetery to see Grandma Shirley Jean Rice and where Grandpa would be buried. It was quite the adventure...no one knew where the grave was. I was sick at the time, so I had the best view (from the car) of everyone running around the cemetery trying to find it. It became a race to find it first!

And the winner was.....

Nathan was so excited to be able to take Joshua and I on the trails on his Grandpa's property.

It brought back so many good memories for all the guys...

When we all got to Grandpa's house all the guys ran to the barn to get their keepsakes...things that they all remember using with Grandpa.

Even though our trip was bumped up 2 weeks for 2 of our Grandpa's funerals, we still had a wonderful time with our families. We count it a blessing to have had the opportunity to fly back home for the funerals. Praise the Lord that both of our Grandpa's are in heaven! They each at their own time, realized that they were sinners and needed a Saviour.
