Waiting...

Pregnancy is the perfect time to learn patience!
for those of you have not had children yet, 9 months is a long time!
Any other time, I would say that 9 months goes by quickly...
not when you are waiting for that little bundle of joy :)
So far with both of my pregnancies, the first few weeks, are horrible...
I get so sick that I can do absolutely nothing!
Then, you get a package of Dove chocolates in the mail...
with this one, Nathan's mum sent me a little bag of chocolates and a note.
At the end of the note she wrote:
"this too shall pass!"
and then when I opened the first dove chocolate
(dove chocolate wrappers have little saying inside),
it read, "don't stress, this too shall pass!"
I thought wow, that is to funny!
But it has helped me get through those rough beginnings of pregnancy!
Now, I am 30 weeks, and finishing the last stretch of my 'waiting', and so excited,
but realizing that I have a lot to do in the short amount of time that I have left.
We are so thankful for the privilege to raise up our children (boys)
for the Lord!

P.j. Boy

Joshua loves to be in his P.J.'s!
When I try to change him in the morning, he grabs his p.j.'s and
wants me to put them back on him...
he knows the meaning of comfy ;)

This morning, I was wearing one of my elastic headbands in my hair,
and Joshua decided that he wanted it.
So, he pulled it off me and tried putting it on himself.
After failing to get it to stay on his head a few times, he brought it over to me and said, "Mommy, peas!" (I love it that he calls me Mommy now!!)
When I put it on him he wanted to see in the mirror...
then after being so amazed, I figured it would be a cute picture.
I sat him down and he said "Teese!!" (cheese)

Joshua LOVES his choo-choo tent he got for Christmas!
Especially when Daddy goes in the tunnel...
and gets stuck :) haha! I don't even try :)

Yes, he is wearing heels...
He thinks he is funny when he wears "Mommy shs" (shoes).
*notice in P.J.'s again!*

He is quite good at walking in heels...
poor boy, one day he will be so embarrassed about this ;)
At least he is still cute!
Side note,
Last night at church, we were having a half price sale on the left over Purdy's chocolate bars; $1 ea. or 6 for $5! What a deal!
Well, they were all laid out on a back table when we walked in. So, after we hung up our coats, Joshua walked over to the table of chocolate bars and looked at them for about 5 seconds, and decided that he would like one...
so he took one. The next thing I hear is Pastor laughing from the other side of the room! Caught in the act!
Sadly, neither Nathan or I had any change on us, so he had to put it back...
I thought that this was going to be tough to make him do. But, as soon as I said no, Daddy doesn't have any money, he put it right back on the table where he got it from! Wow! He's such an obedient boy :)
He was rewarded later when Mrs. Vezina gave him one in the nursery!!
He was soooooooooo excited:)
When I picked him up after church he was standing at the nursery gate smiling and saying "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy!" and holding a purdy's chocolate bar...
all to himself.
"Obedience brings blessing!"
Happy Birthday, Caleb!!!!

Paint with Water!!!

Paint with Water time!!!!
Last week after my Dr appointment,
I took Joshua to Dollarama (any child or Mommy's favorite store)!!
He picked out some Little People books...
little did he know that these books would be even more fun than regular 'books'!!

You can 'paint' in these!!!!
Joshua has been fighting a cold these last few days,
so I figured that today would be a good day to do something different!
He LOVED it!

I can already tell that he is going to love to do these types of things when he is older! He LOVES to color, draw, now paint, do crafts.

Here are Joshua's 1st paint with water pictures!!
I think that he did very well...you? :)

It has been so much fun and such a privilege to raise Joshua!
We thank the Lord for such a wonderful opportunity ;)

Love you, Joshua,
Daddy and Mommy

Its a 'Boy!'

Thursday, I went in for a second ultrasound!

We were finally able to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.

Just to keep up with the rest of the Ravert's we are having a boy :)

and they all thought that I was going to break the trend...

I went to my dr appointment on Tuesday, and I was measuring way to big, so my Dr wanted to send me in for a second ultrasound asap.

As soon as she said that, I was thinking to myself, ah! finally, we can find out what this baby is!!!!

I totally forgot why I even had to go.

When I went in for my ultrasound, all the technician said was that everything looked fine.
I was so excited about finding out it is a boy, I totally forgot to ask why I was measuring so big.

So, I guess I have to wait until my dr appointment in 2 weeks to see...

do I just have extra fluid (like she thinks),

have another big baby :),

or maybe I will be due a bit earlier!! I wouldn't mind that at all!

We are so thankful for a healthy big boy, Joshua,

and for a second healthy baby boy...so far!

Babies are such a huge privilege!

Nathan and I compared Joshua's second ultrasound pictures with baby boy #2's second ultrasound pictures, and it is amazing how much alike they are!! I know you can only see so much detail in those black and white pictures, but the head shape is the same, the postition of all his features, you can even tell that he is going to have my chin and nose...

just like his big brother!

Now that we know we are having a mini Joshua, we have to pick out a name...

We asked Joshua what we should name his baby brother... he said "baby!"

SNOW

We tried to get Joshua interested in playing in the snow while we were away...
he still is not interested???? Maybe next year...

This one would be nice...if Nathan's eyes were open?!

Joshua did like riding in the sled though :)

Just taking some fun pictures.

Snowman

When we were in Ontario, Nathan and my sister, Holly built a huge snowman (I watched from the sidelines with Joshua; as close as he would get to the snow on his own)!

I love this picture :)

Joshua meeting the snowman...

We tried to get some good family pictures...
lets just say, we will save that for another day.

Perfecting 'Frostys' smile.
haha!

We are home

We had such a wonderful Christmas!
It was very cold in Ontario, and there was a lot of snow!!!!!
Joshua got to ride his first go-cart thanks to my brother, Thomas.
Joshua loved it (even though it was freezing)!
I will try and post more pictures asap.
Today is the first day that I a, home with no visitors since we have been home.
So, that means it is clean up day...finally.
